Dear Mr. Carroll, 

 

With reference to your telephone call of yesterday, I have seen Mr. Woolf and asked him about lending a copy of The Waste Land to your exhibition.  Mr. Woolf would be glad if you would let us have full particulars of the exhibition and especially who is actually running it and what security there would be for the safeguarding of a valuable exhibit.  If you will let us have this information, I will pass it on to Mr Woolf and, in due course, write to you again.
