Dear Mrs. Bell,

I am so sorry that, owing to our being held up by the printers, I was not able to send you a dummy and proofs of "Between the Acts" before now. I understand that Mr. Woolf has given a set of his proofs to you. Your design, which we have just received from Mr. Woolf, will fit the book, and I hope to be able to send you proofs of this a week from today. I will send a dummy at the same time so that you will be able to see how the jacket fits on it.

I am afraid this omission must have caused you inconvenience, and I hope that you will accept my apologies.

Yours sincerely, | Barbara Hepworth [signature] | for The Hogarth Press.
