31-10-[19]31.

Dear Mr. Woolf,

The revised typescript of O Providence [this underlining is handwritten, as is a large tick covering the centre of the letter] will be ready in a fortnights [sic] time.  I have cut a great deal of flat writing from the third part: the whole seems much improved in consequence.

There is a clause about a twelve months option on this books [sic], in our agreement. I am very ignorant about such matters. Perhaps this is unneccessary, but I feel that I should offer you an extension of this option, untill [sic] you have considered the revised MS[manuscript]?

I am spending a few days
