Dear Sirs,
WOOLF: THE WAVES
We have to thanks [sic] you for your letters [sic?] of 25th July, and shall be obliged if you will proceed with the printing of 7000 copies in accordance with the estimate. We presume that if we have 70 reams quad crown paper sent to you, that will be sufficient for the 7000 copies. Please note that the top margin, between the heading and the edge of the paper[,] should be 4 ems.
I have been through the MS [manuscript] with Mrs Woolf and I think it is now in order and am returning it to you ready for printing. The book is not divided into chapters but is in nine sections with short interludes between each. We have arranged it so that each interlude and each section is to begin a new page and also, as you will see, that the interludes are to be printed in italics. In the cases where we have merely marked "Leave larger space", it will be correct if you leave half an inch space. I think it should be all right now to go ahead with setting in pages[.]
Yours faithfully | Leonard Woolf [signature]
