9th May 1926

Dear Woolf,

I shall certainly consult you before doing anything.

The only person who encourages me to sue the Daily Express is Sir Robert Hamilton! I suppose the reason is that he is the only one to whom I wrote who knows of his own knowledge that I am right – or rather Chamberlain – and Delamere a liar. I have asked Hamilton to suggest a name or names of counsel – abo what counselling costs!

If I go up to see such a person I shall hope to see you too.

I suppose I feel this more than I should. Who the devil set[?] Mr. Martin to judge me or anybody else? Is it right to issue official verdicts of a totally non judicial kind?

Yours sincerely | Norman Leys [signature]
