Dear Sirs,

 

JEANNE DE HENAULT [sic]

 

We do not know if you would care to undertake the printing and binding of a book of which as small a number as 50 copies only will be required. Should you be willing to do this we should be glad if you would give us an estimate upon the following lines;-Printing 50 copies upon the fly-leaf of which the following note would appear; - Fifty copies only of this study have been printed of which this is Number------. Size Crown 8vo [Octavo]. Type Caslon Old Face 12 pt. 30 lines to a page, set solid, excluding number which should be at the bottom. Heading of each page to be set between thin rules. Paper as sample enclosed.

 

Binding 50 copies in a stiff paper with a white label pasted upon the front. Sheets to be sewn.

 

It is essential that this books [sic] should be printed and bound and delivered to us by December 1st. We enclose copy for title

The Hogarth Press asks Neill & Co Ltd if they would like to undertake the printing and binding of 'Jeanne de Henaut' and requests quotes with style and format instructions. They ask that if they take the job, for it to be delivered by the 1st of December. They mention the copy for the title page (which they enclose). They also request a paper sample.
