Mrs. Diamant[d],[sic]
Boucherness,
Heybridge, Malden.

1st May, 1947.

Dear Madam,

On reviewing our accounts for the year, we notice that on 4th October 1946, we sent you a cheque for £1.1s. on account of a fee paid for reproducing Roger Fry's self-portrait. This cheque has not so far been presented to our bankers for payment.

We feel that it must therefore have been lost in transit and, on hearing from you that the address we have is the correct one, we will send you another cheque.

As we are closing our accounts for the year for audit, we should be most grateful for an early reply.

Yours faithfully, | for The Hogarth Press Ltd. | Secretary
