Dear Sirs,

 

WOOLF. THE YEARS

 

In reply to your letter of March 13th, I am sorry that we cannot accede to your request that Mr [sic] Woolf*1 should inscribe a certain number of your order for collectors of first editions. You will realise that she receives an enormous number of such requests and she has had to make it a rule only to sign her books for her personal friends.
