Dear John

Leonard asks me to return this directly to you & to tell you that it must be THE Death of the Moth. also that "and other essays" must be deleted.  I prefer A to B.  "Death of the Moth" must be lower, the bottom line of the letters to come where the smaller letters now come & THE must be put in the centre above on[?] the smaller type[.] Also the name at the bottom I think should be a tiny bit lower, so as to be more on a level with the drawing - I have marked the place in pencil.

I think it should be in the blackest ink on the whitest paper possible.

Yours[?] | Vanessa [signature]
