Messrs. R. & R. Clark ,
Brandon Street,
Edinburgh.

March 7th 1930.

Dear Sirs:

A ROOM OF ONE'S OWN, Fifth Impression

We confirm our telephoned telegram of this morning instructing you to proceed with 1500 copies of the above edition and shall be glad if you will make the necessary alterations on the title page i.e. substitute "FIFTH IMPRESSION" for "FOURTH IMPRESSION" and altering the date to 1930 at the bottom of the page and on the back of the title page add the following:

Fifth impression March 1930

We have instructed Spalding & Hodge to deliver to you 8½ reams of paper for this book. In acknowledging this letter, please let us have your estimate for the work but do not let this delay your putting the job in hand

A ROOM OF ONE'S OWN. Uniform Edition

We shall also be glad if you will let us have an estimate for machining 3000 copies of this book in the Uniform Edition. We enclose copy for the preliminary pages and have instructed Spalding & Hodge to deliver to you 16½ reams of paper. This is the same paper as used in the ordinary editions except that it is of a heavier weight.

We want you to print the whole of the 1,500 and 3,000 copies at the same time as this should effect a saving in the estimates, the sheets for the Fifth Impression to [3 letters crossed out] be sent to The Ship Binding Works on Tuesday week, but the sheets for the Uniform Ed. we wish you to hold pending delivery instructions.

[Handwritten cross in the left bottom margin]

Yours faithfully, | The Hogarth Press
