May 19th, 1950.

Dear Mr. Marsden,

I was extremely interested to receive your scripts in which THE CAPTAIN’S DEATHBED and THEMES AND VARIATIONS are mentioned, this morning. At the time of writing, I haven’t of course yet had time to read through them, but I can see that you personally have given us a very generous quota and the broadcasts should have a marked effect on Continental sales.

Are you by any chance ever free to lunch in this direction? If so, I would so like it if we could make a date some time after Whitsun. In the hope that we can arrange something, I will give you a ring next week.

Yours sincerely,
