Description
Donald Brace discusses ta a new tax law in the States that will be in effect on July 2 will require the Company to withhold, for income tax, 10% of royalty payments to non-resident aliens instead of the current 4%. For Virginia Woolf's new novel contract, the Company will pay an advance $1000 on publication, and to use the old rate Brace plans to send a $1920 check. The check represents a $2000 payment as a general advance, with the $80 from the current tax rate. He asks about Virginia Woolf's health. Typescript letter signed by Brace.
