LSW*1: [illeg. handwritten annotation]
I think you should read this book by Ahmed Ali. I am in agreement with Morgan's*2 alleged statements, but feel also:
(1) The book is very wandering and would need some cutting [*He would*]
(2) The plot even so would remain very weak
(3) The style would need revision in general [*He would*]
(4) The business of Indian 'names' would have to be radically attacked. [*He agrees*]
Ahmed Ali is an extremely nice character. He has contributed to N.W.*3
[*He thinks 2-300 [1 word illeg.] sold very <easily>*]
