Dear Sirs,
PHAROS & PHARILLON
I enclose a copy of the above book which we printed ourselves and published a week or so ago. It has sold so well that we have already almost exhausted our edition and I am most anxious if possible to be able to bring out a cheaper edition immediately. Would you be good enough to let me have an estimate as follows:
For printing 1000 copies on paper similar to that used in Talks with Tolstoi in 12pt. Garamond type set solid.
For binding 500 copies in paper cover, sample of which is enclosed (Cambrian cover paper, nectarine, @ 8 1/2d. per lb. obtainable from Grosvenor Chater & CO, 68 Cannon St. London) I should like the title, name of author, and THE HOGARTH PRESS, also the words Second Edition, to be printed on the cover and enclosed within an old border similar to that, if possible, on the enclosed pamphlet "Ad Familiares" (which I should be obliged if you would return). Could you send me specimens of such borders which you could use?
Could you let me know the earliest possible time at which you could deliver the 500 copies?
Yours faithfully | Leonard Woolf [signature]
