Norah Nicholls recalls an encounter with Macrae while she was at Methuen, offers American rights in Journey to the Border and provides press excerpts. Nicholls notes that Upward met Isherwood and Auden at Cambridge and that he appears in a novel by Isherwood under a pseudonym.
