Dear Woolf,

 

The paper is Cmd 2629. Get it. It proves my main contention and disproves nothing I asserted in my book. Unfortunately my legal adviser wants me to qualify certain statements in my proposed rejoinder, which would damage their cutting edge deplorably.

 

I may have to postpone the rejoinder for another week.

My tenth thoughts are better than my second and this is a chance I will never have again.

 

Is there anything needing to be settled about the cheap edition except the writing of the postscript? If you dont[sic] answer I shall know there is not.

 

If the Cmd paper sold 20 copies my rejoinder should sell 100.
