Donald Allen informs Piers Raymond that the Grove Press has decided against importing Sado unless the Hogarth Press has filed an order; the Grove Press enjoys the novel, but is worried about its success in reviving interest. Allen notes if Plomer publishes a new novel, it could change the situation and revive interest in Plomer in the U.S.
