Description
Pier Raymond, the Hogarth Press Secretary informs Julia Strachey that they had sent her a check of 13s.6d on November 1, 1945, and that the bankers state the check has not been presented for payment. The Press asks Strachey to confirm, as they can send her another check, and requests for an early reply because of the audit. Includes handwritten annotation that the payment was stopped on 04/09/1947.
