I enclose a copy of a letter we received today asking for permission to use an extract from your book. Will you please let us know whether you are ready to give[1 illeg. character crossed out] permission, and if so what fee you propose ?

 

We were very glad to hear that you had finished your letter. We should like to see it as soon as possible.
