2nd November, 1949.

Dear Sirs,

You will remember that you recently asked us to obtain permission from Messrs. Harcourt Brace for you to export to America 250 copies of Virginia Woolf’s new book, THE CAPTAIN’S DEATH BED. We have now heard from them, but they fear this number is rather too large and have asked that it should be limited to 150 copies only. We would be grateful if you would kindly note this number. The book will not now be published until the Spring.

Yours faithfully, | p.p. THE HOGARTH PRESS LTD.
