I enclose a short introduction to "The Village in the Jungle". I hope it will do.

I have heard from Mr Plomer that he agrees to the terms offered by you and that he will try to shorten the speech to which we objected. Will you be good enough to send me the draft agreement with The Hogarth Press? Our agreement with him gives us the power to make arrangements for American edition. I expect to get the MS[Manuscript] back from him this month and I shall send it at once to the printer and will let you have proofs to set from? I should like to publish this autumn; would that be possible for you?
